Invista’s dodecanediol grade is C12 LD, with purity ≥98.0%, total glycol content ≥99.0%, and dodecanediol content 0.3%. Color (APHA) ≤15. Zibo Guangtong Chemical Company’s product has purity ≥98%, acid value ≤1mg KOH/g, and melting point: 79–81℃. Jarchem Industries, Inc. (USA) produces Jardiol 1-12.

Properties and Applications

C12 LD is a high-purity 12-carbon linear diol. It can be used to produce polyester diols for polyurethanes, polyester resins, and as a chain extender. The resulting polymers exhibit excellent resistance to hydrolysis, light, and heat.
