1,4-Cyclohexanediol is generally a mixture of trans-1,4-cyclohexanediol (CAS No. 6995-79-5) and cis-1,4-cyclohexanediol (CAS No. 931-71-5), with CAS No. 556-48-9.

1,3-Cyclohexanediol has two isomers: cis and trans. CAS No. 504-01-8. The cis-1,3-cyclohexanediol has CAS No. 823-18-7.

Physicochemical Properties:

1,4-Cyclohexanediol is a colorless or white crystal or fine powder with a melting point of 98–100℃, purity ≥99%, moisture ≤0.5%, and ash content ≤0.5%.

The melting point of 1,3-Cyclohexanediol is 246–247℃.

Characteristics and Uses:

1,4-Cyclohexanediol is a symmetrical alicyclic secondary hydroxyl diol, which can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate and a polyurethane chain extender.
