Physicochemical properties:
This product is a white granular solid with a melting point of 93-94℃, a boiling point of 185℃, and a flash point (closed cup) of 176℃.
INVISTA, Inc. (USA) grade C12CD contains a total glycol content ≥97.0%, a dodecylcycloalkyl diol content ≥93.0%, dodecyl alcohol ≤0.2%, and hydroxycyclododecanoate ≤0.8%.
Properties and Applications:
Dodecylcycloalkyl diol is a secondary hydroxyl diol that can be used in the production of polyester polyols, polyurethanes, lubricants, pharmaceutical intermediates, polymer crosslinking agents, inks and coatings, adhesives, and elastomers. It imparts resistance to biodegradation and excellent resistance to hydrolysis and photothermal aging to polymers.
