Hydroxyl-terminated hydrogenated polybutadiene

Also known as: Hydroxyl-terminated hydrogenated butadiene homopolymer.

CAS number: 68954-10-9. Depending on the polymerization process, there are two main product structures: one primarily based on 1,2-polymerization and the other primarily based on 1,4-polymerization.

Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene can be catalytically hydrogenated to obtain hydrogenated hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene. Its characteristics include: a saturated main chain, better light and weather stability, and improved heat resistance and adhesion to polyolefin materials compared to ordinary hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene.

Cray Valley’s Krasol HLBH-P 3000 is a hydrogenated hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene product, a colorless transparent liquid, with the following typical physical properties: diol content >97%, hydrogenation degree >98%, hydroxyl value of 31 mg KOH/g or 0.56 mmol/g, viscosity of 65 Pa·s (25℃) or 7 Pa·s (50℃), and water content of 0.03%.
